Alpaca Walking Hensting Alpacas is located near Otterbourne in Hampshire. They allow the general public to come and meet and walk their alpacas. You can join them to help them walk their alpacas and enjoy some time outdoors enjoying exercise and the fun of meeting their alpacas. They are a family-run business and they own 12 acres of grasslands along the Itchen Navigation. There are no longer boats along this route but it is a haven for wildlife.

Morning tours last for two hours. They start with a safety chat and a briefing on how to hold the alpacas and how to look after them. You then have time for some photos before you set off for a walk with them. In general children under nine are not admitted. Children over 12 may lead their halter-trained alpacas, while kids over nine can accompany an adult. Afternoon walls are shorter and last for 90 minutes.

They also now have a llama keeper experience. You start your experience by helping clean out Piper’s enclosure and you will give her and the alpacas their feed. There is time for photos before you take Piper out for a walk, Children must be accompanied by an adult, 1 child and 1 adult = 1 adult.
