Bryngarw Country Park
Bryngarw Country Park is located near Bridgend in South Wales. It has over 100 acres of glorious parkland with wildlife, native woodlands, formal gardens and a wide range of fun activities.
You can take a walk along the banks of the River Gawr, enjoy the bluebells in May and see the floral beauty and tranquillity of the Oriental Garden. Their adventure playground has a famous tower slide and a natural play area which is great for building dens. In the visitor centre, there is a discovery area with storytelling sessions plus interactive displays.
They often hold annual events including a special reindeer trail at Christmas. There are waymarked nature trails for families, all at 3/4 of a mile or less. There are printable trails available on their website to print out and take with you, The house was built in the early 1800s and the park officially opened to the public in 1986. It also offers cycle trails and pond dipping. You can even hire a BBQ and cook up your own feast.
