The WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre is located in Carmarthenshire, Wales. It is a protected lagoon and lake area that is home to flamingos, geese, mandarin ducks and more.

What is there to do at WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre?

You can hand-feed their ducks, geese and swans. For kids, there is a fun outdoor adventure playground. With mud swamps, ropes, balance beams, outdoor instruments and more. Don’t forget your wellies on a rainy day. There is also an adventurer route if you are brave enough. Plus there is a flamingo-themed play area.

Out in the reserve, there is a fun Swan’s nest maze plus winding tunnels in Water Vole City. The nature reserve is around 450 acres in size and features a mosaic of lakes, pools, streams and lagoons. The range of habitats is a refuge for tens of thousands of migratory birds.

In the summertime, they have canoes available for you to hire. This is a great way to enjoy a unique view of the wetlands with lots of wildlife to spot along the way. They use Canadian canoes which can accommodate two adults or an adult and a child over 5 years. Additional children aged between 5 and 9 can also be accommodated. Canoes tickets can be bought when you arrive. There is a small charge of £9.95 per canoe.
