Scarborough Surf School

The Cayton Bay Surf Shop and Scarborough Surf School are located at Cayton Bay near Scarborough, North Yorkshire. They have taught more people to surf than any other outfit on the East Coast.

They pride themselves on their professional, highly experienced and fully qualified instructors who aim to teach you the basics quickly and safely regardless of your chosen activity or ability. They operate all year round but they run group-orientated kids clubs for children during most school holidays. They offer one-on-one and group surf lessons and have been doing so since 1989. They have a wide range of options for booking lessons on their website. You can also have a go at stand-up paddleboarding.

Cayton Bay is a stunning beach with cliffs all around it. The walk down and back up is steep but worth it. Children can take part in their kid’s club sessions from the age of 7. Their kid’s clubs are for children aged 7-15 and students must be able to swim 25metres. Parents with children under the age of 10 must remain on site.

Kids club’s weekly sessions cost £140-150 per child. Group lessons cost from £40 per person, one-to-one lessons £80 per person.
