Go Ape at Whinlatter Forest, near Keswick, in Cumbria benefits from dramatic views from the top of Whinlatter Pass. This is the highest Go Ape location at over 1000 feet above sea level There are a couple of challenges including The Treetop Challenge and Forest Segway.

Things to do at Go Ape Whinlatter

Treetop Challenge – Let your competitive side out through a course that will challenge your strength and balance. There are tricky crossings and breathtaking views and a thrilling ride on the Tarzan Swing. The longest zip wire is 69 metres. The challenge takes 2 to 3 hours to navigate your way around. There is a minimum age of 10 years and a minimum height of 1.4m.

Forest Segway – Heavy-duty all-terrain Segways on spectacular off-road trails. Duration 1 hour. There are no height/age restrictions, however, participants must be 45kg/7 stone to take part. This is one of their most scenic Segway Safaris.

Duration times including safety briefings. Once you’ve had your treetop fun there’s plenty in the forest to keep everyone entertained. There are cycling and walking trails, plus a WildPlay trail with nine different play zones. For younger children, there is a fairy kingdom with a secret path and hidden carvings.
