Hardcastle Crags
Hardcastle Crags is a National Trust property near Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire. It has over 15 miles of footpaths to explore from gentle strolls through bluebells to rugged hikes to the top of the estate. It encompasses deep rocky ravines, tumbling streams, woods and an upland meadow.
What is there to do at Hardcastle Crags?
Gibson Mill is a 19th-century cotton mill. The mill is water-powered and is now a grade II listed building with exhibits inside about the mill and its workers. They have child-friendly interactive displays, dressing-up supplies and themed exhibitions. Just beyond the mill, there is a grassy area that has plenty of space for den building.
You can choose from one of their popular waymarked trails and head out for an adventure in the woods. There are different trails available to print out from the National Trust website detailing what you can expect to see. There is a railway trail, a Mill walk, a Wood folk walk and more. Regular guided walks are also sometimes available.

There is a cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks. You are welcome to bring a picnic.
