Cantref Adventure Farm

The Cantref adventure farm is situated just 3 miles from Brecon in Powys, South Wales. The farm benefits from some stunning views of the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains. There is a children’s farm park and an indoor play area and they also offer horse/pony riding trips. You can even camp overnight.
What is there to do at Cantref Adventure Farm?
They have daily shows at the adventure farm including pig racing, meet the Dinosaur, Meet the Unicorn and daily tractor rides. On the tractor ride, you will be able to get up close to their water buffalo and meet some cute Shetland ponies and donkeys. You will also learn about the rare breeds of sheep that they have on their farm. Other animals, include alpacas, llamas and guanacos.
The farm has a long grass sledge ride. Plus a Jungle swamp adventure boat ride. This involves teamwork to negotiate yourself around the canal of water. They also often have foam parties during the summer plus a maize maze. There are various outdoor play areas including a Dragon slide, Tree slide, trampoline, sandpit, wendy house and a new sand and water play area. Plus a climbing frame and crazy golf. There are animals, in outdoor enclosures.
Indoors there is a large indoor heated soft play area with a drop slide and a 3-lane slide. There is a separate play area for toddlers. They have two role playrooms, ball cannons, pedal tractors and a theatre. Plus a pet barn and a big animal barn. It is possible to book a VIP animal experience (for an additional cost).
The Cantref Riding Centre is the only centre licenced to take Pony Treks up on to the main peaks of the Brecon Beacons. They have rides to suit all ages and abilities. Their pony treks range from a full day, half a day, hour ride to 20 minutes. Prices vary accordingly.

There is a cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks. You are welcome to bring a picnic.

What are the ticket prices?
Tickets are cheaper if purchased online in advance. Tickets for anyone over the height of 93cms range from £7-13. toddlers are £5-6, babies are free. Please enquire with regards to pony trekking and animal experiences.
