TY Sculpture Trail
The TY Sculpture trail can be found in the Towerhouse Woods. It was created in memory of a local resident TY Partridge who died suddenly at the age of 21 of leukaemia. The sculptures are small meaning they are great fun for children to hunt. You can pick up a map in the shop at the fishing lakes.
The sculptures have been created to make the children sharp eyes and aware as if they were looking for the animals, themselves. Some of the carvings are like fossils, there is a Dormouse and a badger. Some are carved from rock, others from wood. All are lovingly created by the family and friends. They plan to add more animals to the trails and when something new appears another red dot will appear on the map. At present, there are 16 to find.
Parking is limited at the fishing lakes and it is a steep walk up to the trail. The walk takes around an hour to an hour and a half.
