Himalayan Garden and Sculpture Park
The Himalayan Garden and Sculpture Park is a stunning attraction set in beautiful countryside between Masham and Ripon. Spread across 45 acres of woodland, gardens and lakes, it’s one of Yorkshire’s most unique outdoor spaces, combining dramatic planting with over 90 contemporary sculptures and a number of larger architectural features. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend several hours exploring, discovering new corners and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
The sculptures are all open‑air and dotted throughout the gardens, offering plenty to find as you wander. Highlights include a bronze leopard stalking a roe deer, a giant floating magnolia, a mini stone henge, a Japanese pagoda and many more imaginative pieces. Alongside these are larger structures such as a summerhouse, a Himalayan shelter, a Contemplation Circle and a Norse hut, each adding character and interest to different areas of the park.
The landscape itself is just as impressive. Three lakes enhance the gardens, creating scenic viewpoints and peaceful spots to pause. The woodland covers around 12 acres and features over 300 different trees, making it a lovely place for a gentle walk. Throughout spring and early summer, the gardens are especially colourful, with rhododendrons, azaleas and other Himalayan plants creating vibrant displays.
Families will find plenty to enjoy too. Children can explore the wooden adventure play area, which blends naturally into the surroundings, and they’ll love spotting the fairy doors hidden around the gardens. The mix of sculptures, woodland paths and quirky features makes it a great place for kids to explore while adults enjoy the scenery.

There is a tearoom serving hot and cold food and drinks. Picnics are not permitted.

What are the ticket prices?
A standard adult ticket costs £16; children 5-16 are £6 and children under 5 are free. Family tickets and season passes are available.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a lead.
Are they accessible?
The park is not suitable for wheelchair users, mobility scooters or people with limited mobility. They are continually improving their paths however, the topography of the area dictates that the paths are steep in places, with some paths having a number of steps.
