Hatfield House is located just 21 miles north of London in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. It is a fine Jacobean House and gardens set in spectacular countryside.

What is there to do at Hatfield House?

There are a number of grand rooms you can see in the house. From the marble hall to the grand staircase and the Chinese bedroom to the Victorian kitchen. There are three woodland walks within the estate with varying lengths. The trails are marked yellow (1.4 miles, blue 2.1 miles and red 3.1 miles), use the arrows to navigate your way. There is also a 13th-century deer park.

The gardens are themed with a number of different areas including The Sundial Garden, Old Palace Garden, Renaissance Garden and the Pleached lime walk. These are well cared for and certainly worth exploring. Since the closure of the farm Hatfield House is looking at ways to incorporate family-friendly trails and other things to do.
