Splashdown
Splashdown is a waterpark in Poole, Dorset. It is the south’s premier leisure complex with a good selection of flumes. There is no large swimming pool, just lots of family-friendly water-based fun. There are height restrictions on some of the flumes plus some flumes are seasonal.
The waterpark is home to 13 thrilling indoor and outdoor flume rides. The Screamer is for adrenaline junkies where you descend through 40 metres of slide in 5 seconds. Velocity is also one for the brave for a 30-foot steep drop. Baron’s Revenge is an 8-metre vertical drop in total darkness and Infinity has laser lights and disco music. Other exciting flumes include the Zambezi drop with 50 metres of slide and Dragon’s Lair with twists and a dragon’s roar at the end.
There is the Grand Canyon tyre ride and also the Mississippi Drifter where you can ride through twists, small slides and whirlpools. On the Tennessee Twister and Louisiana Leap, you can race on inflatable tyres through 91 metres of twists and turns. A good introduction to younger children is the Red River roller. The flume has 91 metres of slow twists and turns. Plus other exciting slides.
Ricky’s Reef is a water play toddler area for the under 6s with a 3D effect reef liner. Children 7 and under will love Buccaneer splash with water canons, a starter flume and plenty of interactive water play. Buccaneer Beach is an outdoor splash pool for ages 8 and under. Splashdown can host your child’s party.
