Lanhydrock House National Trust

Lanhydrock House is an early 19th-century stately home with fine interiors set in scenic parkland near Bodmin in Cornwall. The parkland is popular with cyclists. There are plenty of cycling trails at Lanhydrock to suit all levels of experience. You can choose to ride through woodland, ride on the flat or even on hillier routes. You can download maps from the National Trust website before you visit. There is a cycle hire shop, do ring ahead to check it is open.

The Lanhydrock estate isn’t just for cyclists. There are plenty of opportunities to go for a walk and explore the grounds. There is a range of walks to suit all. There are over 900 acres of historic countryside to explore including a Victorian swimming pool which is now more for newts than humans.

There is also a relatively new wooden play area with plenty to climb and play on. You can also look around the house when it is open. The house is very child-friendly with discovery tables. Plus there is a train trail around the rooms, a school room to play in, tables to set, serviettes to fold in the dining room and a selection of Victorian toys to play with.

Is there food and drink available?

There is a cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks. You are welcome to picnic within the estate.

A stately home that you can look around, a wooden adventure play area, cycle routes and walking trails. There are toilets and a cafe.

What are the ticket prices?

Free for members of the National Trust. An adult standard ticket costs £20 and £10 for a child, family tickets are available. Children under the age of 5 are free.
