You can have a fun family day out at Cockfields Farm Park. We tend to spend all day there and make the most of our visits (I usually have to drag the kids away).

Things to do at Cockfields Farm

There’s plenty to do at the farm, no trip to the farm would be complete without visiting the animal barn. You can see all sorts of animals including goats, pigs, sheep, alpacas, ponies, donkeys and even meerkats. My children love to feed the animals, and feeding the goats is their favourite. You can purchase animal feed on entry to the farm. There’s also a reptile room filled with snakes and creepy crawlies.

There’s also plenty of opportunity to cuddle and touch the animals, including bunnies, guinea pigs, chicks and even a bearded dragon. Every 30 minutes, a different animal is in the animal handling barn so you can spend time with the animals. You are given a timetable as you enter so you can plan your day around which animals, you want to cuddle; we usually visit them all.

As well as visiting all the farmyard animals, there’s an outdoor play area with swings, a beach area filled with buckets and spades, a large jumping pillow, an indoor role-play area and a traditional fairground carousel. All this is included in your admission fee. There are no restrictions on how long you have on the jumping pillow or how many goes you have on the carousel which is fab. My children love to keep going back to both activities during the day.

Throughout the year, Cockfields Farm holds special events, such as the Pumpkin Festival during October and their fabulous Christmas Experience where you can meet Father Christmas.
