With a great location close to Kos town and near a beach is the Blue Lagoon Resort. It is situated in a quiet spot just a couple of minutes’ walk from a sand and shingle beach. The island’s capital, Kos town as well as a shopping centre is just a 10-minute drive away. Kos town is steeped in history with the Romans, Ottomans and Italians all having left their stamp here through architecture and ruins.
There is also a 15th-century Medieval castle. Down at the harbour is a more modern side with lively bars and restaurants. Plus there is another fabulous beach. Kos airport is a 40-minute coach transfer from the hotel.
Highlights
There are four pools at this hotel plus two for children. The main one is a huge lagoon pool with whirlpool baths and water jets. Adults have their own triangular pool. A highlight is certainly the mini waterpark which even has a lazy river. There are thrilling slides for adults and big kids plus gentler ones for younger children. Little ones need to be 10 years old or at least 120cm tall to use the bigger slides. In the adults-only spa area, there is an indoor pool.
