Things to do at Flamingo Land in Winter review
Flamingo Land during winter opening, at weekends, is perfect for families with younger children. The larger thrill rides are shut over winter and instead, only the family rides and rides for children are open. Not all the family rides are open but we struggled to do everything during their 6 hours of opening.
The zoo is also open over the winter so you can wander around to see giraffe, rhinos, tigers, monkeys and many other animals. They also still have their sea lion and parrot shows plus a pirate show over by the entrance.
The main attraction with winter opening is the price. It is vastly cheaper to visit in the winter than the spring, summer and autumn. Please note that only the zoo is open during the week and the rides are open along with the zoo at weekends.
Also at weekends in the winter, you can enjoy a Peter Rabbit storytime show (£5 extra for this show per person) and a meet and greet with Peter Rabbit. Plus the playgrounds and indoor soft play are open. Some rides that are open have a height restriction. It is worth noting that there are fewer rides open in winter now than there used to be a few years ago.

Eating – In winter at weekends Muddy Duck Cafe and the Coach House are open for food.
Facilities in brief – A few family rides open at weekends in winter, zoo with a good variety of animals, playgrounds including a Peter Rabbit themed play area and Peter Rabbit meet and greets. There are toilets on-site, shops and 3 places to eat. Picnics are allowed outside.

*Prices are subject to change and/or discounts online. *Mid-range pricing at £14.50 per person at weekends. During the week it is cheaper but only the zoo is open mid-week. Children under 4 years of age are free. (ID may be required)
