Grosvenor and Hilbert Park

Grosvenor and Hilbert Park

Grosvenor and Hilbert Park are located in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. They are the town’s oldest public park and were designed by the renowned Victorian landscape architect Robert Marnock in 1889. The park still retains its original historic features such as Marnock Lake, the grottoes and the dripping wells. There is an exciting and challenging play area which was updated in 2015 thanks to Heritage and Big Lottery funding.

Around the park, there is a brass rubbing trail with 10 to find. These allow families to explore the different habitats around the park. The wetland area is in the centre of the park and there is a boardwalk through the middle complete with dipping platforms.

Grosvenor Skatepark has a range of metal ramps and a tarmac base with fun and challenging features. This is situated close to the grass football pitch and orchard. The play area is large and features equipment for all ages plus there is a games area for basketball and 5-a-side football. Also in the park, there is a graffiti mural wall which is free for artists to use. This is located on the railway bridge leading to Upper Grosvenor Road.
