Yew Tree Alpacas
Yew Tree Alpacas are located near Buntingford, Hertfordshire. They provide exciting, family-friendly, alpaca adventures. They have a herd of 40 alpacas, most of which are home-bred. For an unforgettable day out you can book one of their alpaca walking experiences. Walks take place in the beautiful East Herts countryside and you can choose from their walk experiences or the extended countryside walk with lunch or cream tea to finish.
Children must be aged 10 or over and they must be accompanied by an adult. Children aged 10-15 must walk with an adult (ie, they must choose the sharing option). The walk experience lasts around 2-2.5 hours and the extended walk 3-3.5 hours. Both experiences start with an initial talk on their alpacas including guidance and training on how to walk them. There is the chance to feed them and take photos at the end of the walk.
The walk on ‘The Alpaca Walk Experience’ takes around 25 minutes and is the easiest of the two walks. The ‘Extended countryside walk’ includes a one-hour walk and enjoys some wonderful views across the open countryside. This is more demanding and includes an uphill walk.
