Golden Valley Llamas

Golden Valley Llamas is located at Old King Street Farm in Ewyas Harold, Herefordshire. As well as offering holiday accommodation to rent they also have llama trekking experiences for day guests and those staying in their cottages. The whole experience lasts for around two and a half hours.
Each llama trek is exclusive to the party that books making it a great family day out. Your experience will start by helping to call in, catch, halter and groom your llama. You will then take your llama for a walk through the local countryside. They take their llamas out throughout the year and can often accommodate you and your party at short notice.
You will gently stroll with your llama while holding its lead rope. You will trek through the fields and down the hill into the village where you will turn and head back. Once back at the farmyard, the llamas are rewarded with more food before you release them back into their field. After your experience, you can visit their llama weaving studio. They weave and spin the llama’s wool and you can see how this is done and browse their llama shop.
Adults and children from 12 upwards may have sole charge of a llama and those younger than 12 will share a llama with an adult. For youngsters, two ropes are tied to the halter. Children and parents enjoy the experience together.
