Stansted Park Light Railway

Stansted Park Light Railway is a 7-and-a-quarter-inch gauge miniature railway located within the grounds of Stansted House, Stansted Park, Hampshire.

The light railway runs every Wednesday and Saturday. They are situated next to the Stansted Park Garden centre. Their trains run on an 850-yard track through the Arboretum, past a 12-foot span girder bridge and a little station.

If you want to make a day of it there is the Edwardian House and Grounds of the park to explore. The public has free access to the walled garden with a tea room, farm shop, garden centre, maze and miniature railway which has a small charge. You can enjoy walks through the woods and avenues of this magnificent parkland. The house is sometimes open for tours with a charge for visiting.
