Bicclescombe Park

Bicclescombe Park

Bicclescombe Park is located near the centre of Ilfracombe in Devon. It is the area’s premier park and it is sited in a valley approximately one mile south of the town centre.

Things to do at Bicclescombe Park

The park first opened in 1991 as Bicclescombe Park Pleasure Gardens. It was later extended in 1937 and there is a mill on the site of the park that dates back to the late 18th century. There is a pretty stream that runs through the park that feeds into the Boat Lake, Duck Pond and the Mill Leat which powers the mill wheel.

Within the park, there are several tennis courts, a large modern children’s play area and a sensory garden. This features light reflections and sound which are popular with all children, especially those with sensory impairments. The play area has equipment suited to children from the age of 2 up to the age of 12.
