Corrieshalloch Gorge Nature Reserve

The Corrieshalloch Gorge Nature Reserve is located near Braemore in the Scottish Highlands. It is designated a National Nature Reserve in recognition of the spectacular gorge and the surrounding woodland. It is maintained by the National Trust for Scotland.

At the reserve, you can walk across a Victorian suspension bridge and see the River Droma rushing down through a mile-long box canyon below. The falls of Measach plummet into one of the most spectacular gorges in Britain. You can follow the trails through the woodland and enjoy views of the surrounding area. It is one of the most spectacular gorges of its type in Britain and it provides striking evidence of how glacial meltwater can create deep gorges.

There are a series of walks that allow you to discover this hidden gem. There is a 20-minute fern walk or a shorter main path that takes 10 minutes to get to the suspension bridge.
