Ryton Pools Country Park
Ryton Pools Country Park is located close to the village of Ryton in Warwickshire. It is around 100 acres in size and contains 4 pools for wildlife with the largest being around 10 acres.
What is there to do at Ryton Pools Country Park?
There are many different habitats within the park and they are home to a wide range of birds and other wildlife. There are excellent surfaced paths to enable easy access around the site. There is also an adjoining ancient woodland.
They run an events programme throughout the year which you can find out more about from the visitor centre. Please note that swimming in any of the lakes is not permitted. There are also cycling paths, fishing, a children’s play area and geocaching and there is the Ryton Pools Miniature railway.
The railway is open Sunday afternoons from 13.00 to 16.00 (weather permitting) from the first Sunday in April (or Easter if it’s in March) through until the end of September. They are also open on Bank Holidays and New Year’s Day. They are also open for special events, throughout the year. There is a small charge to ride on one of their trains.
