The Suffolk Punch Trust

The Suffolk Punch Trust is located near Hollesley, Suffolk. They are a charity dedicated to helping protect the critically endangered horse the Suffolk Punch through their established breeding programme. You can come along and visit their centre.

What is there to do at The Suffolk Punch Trust?

You can meet their friendly hoses, sheep, donkeys and pigs in the paddocks. There is also a pet paddock with goats, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs. Around the 120-acre farm, there are three marked walks to explore. On-site there is a Heritage museum where you can discover more about the agricultural history of Suffolk and view their collection of old agricultural machinery and carts.

They also offer personalised guided tours around the farm and horses. Plus there are 3 tractor trailer rides a day around their farm, subject to demand and weather conditions. With their stable demonstrations, you can learn how to braid a horse’s mane, put a horse in a harness and learn how they handle and care for their horses. This takes place at 2:30 pm every day, subject to demand and staff availability.

Also at the farm, there are indoor and outdoor play areas just outside the visitor centre. Children can also enjoy a Rubbing Trail.
