Bentwaters Cold War Museum
Museum Overview
Bentwaters Cold War Museum is located in Rendlesham near Woodbridge, Suffolk. The museum is based in the former USAS command post on the former Bentwaters airfield.
They believe that currently, this is the only such building open regularly to the public in the UK and Europe. Inside you can see the main war operations room and battle cabin which have been restored to their original condition.
You can also see the original BT telephone exchange room, the decontamination showers and the airlock. Other rooms within the building are now exhibition rooms. The museum also has a growing collection of aircraft representing the “Cold War” era.
