Crewkerne Heritage Centre

Crewkerne Heritage Centre, otherwise known as the Crewkerne and District Museum is located in Crewkerne, Somerset. It is a small museum dedicated to local history.

Although it is a small museum there is still plenty to see and entrance is free. The museum looks at Crewkerne’s status as being a Saxon royal mint plus an important spotting place for travellers and its prosperity based on the textile industry.

The museum also shows how ordinary local people lived and worked during various periods. There are four permanent galleries and activities for children throughout. They also run extra activities during most school holidays.
