Seaforde Gardens and Tropical Butterfly House
Seaforde Gardens and Tropical Butterfly House are located near Seaforde, County Down. The gardens enjoy a micro-climate, and visitors can explore the gardens, maze and butterfly house. The historic gardens are home to an 18th-century walled garden. You can have fun getting lost in Ireland’s oldest living maze and see a renowned collection of plants plus an arboretum with champion trees and rare species.
Visitors to the Tropical Butterfly House are encouraged to wander around or sit quietly in their heated jungle. You will be able to enjoy a close-up experience of their colourful and exotic butterflies. As you walk or sit quietly you may find that some of the butterflies come to land on you. There is a playground suitable for children under the age of 12 in the gardens that has some picnic tables nearby. There are also pheasants wandering around.
