Museum Overview

Sywell Aviation Museum is located at Sywell Aerodrome near Northampton, Northamptonshire. It is sited in the aircraft viewing car park at the aerodrome.

The museum documents the history of flying in Northamptonshire from the early days through to the modern day, with particular emphasis on the Second World War. It is a voluntary, non-profit making organisation.

It was first opened as a museum in 2001 and has a number of Nissen huts with exhibitions including a cockpit collection and a complete WWII Link Trainer. There are themed displays dedicated to the Royal Air Force and our allies, the USAAF, the Luftwaffe and Sywell Aerodrome itself. They also have some rockets and bombs.
