Jet Age Museum
Museum Overview
The Jet Age Museum is located in the Meteor Business Park near the centre of Gloucester. It is home to some vintage planes and aviation artefacts. Plus they offer guided cockpit tours of jet fighters and an airliner.
The museum first opened in 2013 and they have several restored cockpits at the museum. It charters the history of Gloucestershire’s rich aviation heritage and is run by volunteers.
Their tours are of their Avro Vulcan Bomber and the Hawker Siddeley Trident cockpits. It is recommended that you pre-book cockpit tours on your arrival. The tours are free, but they suggest a donation of £2 per visitor. These are not for small children and those with disabilities or claustrophobia.
