Dean Heritage Centre
The Dean Heritage Centre is located in Soudley in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. It is a site with 5 acres dedicated to the forest including a museum a reconstructed cottage and workshops.
There are five museum galleries with some interactive exhibits and various outside displays. You can see exciting arts and crafts demonstrations and the museum is home to thousands of precious objects and documents.
In their woodland, you can enjoy a trail based on the much-loved children’s book The Gruffalo. There are a series of carved montages that depict the story along a short trail. Also in the woodland, you will find a playground. There is a swing, monkey bars, a climbing area and a wooden playhouse.

Adults £8, children aged 3-16 £6, children aged under 3 are free and family tickets are available. Non-gift aid prices are slightly cheaper.

Dog friendly?
Only assistance dogs are permitted throughout. Pet dogs are welcome in their Coffee Shop and gift shop but cannot be taken into the museum or grounds including the Gruffalo Trail.
