Museum Overview

The Corinium Museum is located in the heart of Cirencester, Gloucestershire. It is home to a large collection of objects that have been found in the local area. There are items from as early as the Neolithic period and up to Victorian times with most exhibits being from the Roman Town of Corinium Dobunnorum, today known as Cirencester.

Inside the museum has arguably the finest and most extensive Romano-British collection relating to a town and its hinterland in the world. There are light and modern galleries that offer you an exceptional interactive experience.

Items on display include Prehistoric tools, Roman mosaics, Anglo-Saxon grave goods and Medieval sculptures. The museum has seen a recent major investment of money from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
