Essex Fire Museum
The Essex Fire Museum is located in the Fire Station in Grays, Essex. It charts the history of the county’s fire service with fire engines, uniforms, equipment on display and tours. Visitors can see how firefighting has changed over the years as technology has advanced.
Originally created by a former firefighter the museum provides a fascinating look back into the history of the fire service. They also organise a number of special open days with themed arts/crafts activities and displays which are great family-friendly fun. All visits to the museum must be pre-booked as the museum is on the site of an operational fire station.
