Teesdale Alpacas
Teesdale Alpacas is located near Barnard Castle in County Durham. They are a working farm and are open by appointment only. They offer alpaca trekking for small groups.
Things to do at Teesdale Alpacas
Their alpaca walks are mostly available during the summer months, however, they will go for a walk if the weather is nicer at other times. Please contact them for availability and if you go on their waiting list they can contact you when the weather is right.
They try to keep things small and friendly allowing their visitors to enjoy a leisurely and relaxing walk. This can be modified according to your needs and preferences. They also offer farm visits so you can meet the alpacas and llamas and chill out for a while.
Alpaca walks last for 1 hour 30 minutes and include an introduction to their alpacas, the possibility of hand feeding them and taking them for a walk. The farm visits last for 1 hour and you will meet their alpacas, feed them and enjoy lots of photo ops. Children are welcome but must share an alpaca with an adult. Children can take part from the age of 6.

What are the ticket prices?
Alpaca walks £25 per person, £40 for 2 adults sharing. Children under 12 (but 9 or over) can share an alpaca with an adult – £10 (plus adult @ £25). Children aged between 6 and under 9 – £10 but also require an additional adult (without alpaca) @ £15 to supervise should the child no longer wish/be able to walk with the alpaca etc.
