Chatelherault Country Park

Chatelherault Country Park

Chatelherault Country Park is located near Hamilton in Lanarkshire. The park has 500 acres of countryside, woodland and over ten miles of routed pathways. It is derived from the French town of Chatellerault.

There is an adventure playground within the park, picnic facilities and it is home to a listed 18th-century hunting lodge. The country park is centred on the former hunting lodge which is a folly that was designed to be seen from the now-demolished Hamilton Palace.

You can also enjoy a leisurely walk around the museum. You might even be able to spot their Cadzow cattle. These live in the fields overlooked by the hunting lodge and are a unique breed with white coats with long horns.
