Alien Rock Edinburgh

Alien Rock in Edinburgh is a climbing wall constructed in a vaulted church building. They have been providing a fun, exciting and friendly venue for indoor climbers since 1994.

Indoor bouldering is suitable for almost all ages and abilities from the complete novice to the experienced climber. There is firm matting throughout and the wall doesn’t exceed 4.7 metres in height. Ropes are not required so it makes it easier to get into the fun of climbing without the need to get into the more technical aspects of roped climbing.

Many of the features were hand-crafted on-site. There is a variety of challenges which are changed over on a 4 monthly basis. There are around 200 different routes to choose from. There is also a section with top-roping lines and a belay system. Children can take part in their kids’ club sessions or have a go at one of their taster sessions. They run sessions for different age ranges.
