Benmore Botanic Garden
The Benmore Botanic Garden is located in Benmore near Dunoon in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It is a 120-acre mountainside garden surrounded by dramatic scenery.
Highlights include a Redwood Avenue of Giant Sequoias, footbridges across the River Eachcaig, a waterfall and walled gardens. Plus ponds, a fernery and walks up the hillside to enjoy views out across the Holy Loch.
The gardens are renowned for their fine collection of rhododendrons and conifers with plants from all around the world. There is an abundance of wildlife in the gardens including red squirrels, sparrowhawks and the occasional Golden Eagle.
