Pitmedden Garden and Museum of Farming Life

Pitmedden Garden and Museum of Farming Life

The Pitmedden Gardens and Museum of Farming Life are located in Pitmedden, Aberdeenshire. They are a re-created Scottish Renaissance walled garden with vibrant floral designs, a garden lawn, yew trees and a fountain.

Every year there are over 30,000 annual bedding plants that make up the colourful designs and patterns. The garden dates back to 1675 and they have changed in use throughout the years. There are daily guided heritage estate tours at 12 pm which are included with your entry ticket.

Children can enjoy their scavenger trail or take part in a bug hunt. There is a garden loop that takes around 25 minutes. Plus a woodland walk that takes around 45 minutes, look out for squirrels and other wildlife. You can also visit the Museum of Farming Life which brings the agricultural past to life.
