Museum Overview

The Jersey Maritime Museum is located in St Helier on the Channel Island of Jersey. The museum tells the story of the island’s unique maritime environment and its rich seafaring past.

Set by the historic harbour the museum explores the myths and legends that have formed over the years. There are some excellent interactive exhibits including an interactive Globe Room and the rocking Ship’s cabin.

You can find out about Jersey’s seafood, beach culture and seaside entertainment. There is also an Occupation Tapestry Gallery which was woven by islanders to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation. Outside you can see three historic boats.
