Aden Country Park
Aden Country Park is located in Old Deer near Peterhead in Aberdeenshire. It is a large 230-acre park with beautiful surroundings and a wide range of family-friendly recreation activities. Aden Park is located in the heart of Buchan and is often referred to as ‘the jewel in Buchan crown. It has been recognised for a number of years as one of the country’s best green spaces with the prestigious Green Flag award.
Facilities at the park include a cafe, gift shop, an excellent children’s play area, picnic and BBQ sites plus walks and trails. There are sensory gardens, an outdoor gym, the ruins of a country house, a dog and agility exercise area a Victorian arboretum and more.
The park also regularly plays host to a number of family-friendly events and activities. It’s also worth taking some duck-friendly food with you as there is usually plenty to feed. Also within the park, there is the free-to-visit, Aberdeenshire Farming Museum.
