Aira Force and Ullswater is a beautiful area of Cumbria that is maintained by the National Trust. Aira Force is arguably the most famous waterfall in the Lake District.

The 65-foot waterfall is set in an Eighteenth-century pleasure ground. There are woodland trails with champion trees and red squirrels. Within the grounds, there is Lakeshore access to Ullswater at Aira Green and Glencoyne Bay.

Walking trails include the summit of Gowbarrow Fell and there is a tea room with outside seating. Kids will love being able to splash through streams and there is a small natural play area just beyond the car park, next to the picnic field. There are 4 trails listed on the National Trust website that range from 2-4.5 miles.
