Airworld Aviation Museum is located in Caernarfon, Gwynedd, North Wales. It offers the opportunity to get close to some of their historic aircraft and set foot on an airfield.
They are located on the airfield of the former RAF Llandwrog. The museum has a collection of aircraft and aviation memorabilia and it houses iconic planes such as the Hawker Hunter, DH Vampire and the only T2 BAe Harrier remaining worldwide.
Part of the museum is devoted to the creation of the RAF Mountain Rescue Service while other sections describe the wartime airfields of North Wales. The museum was established in 1988 and it is now run as a charitable trust. They are located at Caernarfon airport which has a cafe that is open most days although they are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
