Museum Overview

Aldershot Military Museum is located in Aldershot, Hampshire. It is housed in brick-built barrack blocks and tells the story of daily life for both soldiers and civilians since 1854. The stories are told using vibrant collections including tanks and hands-on activities. Outdoors you and your kids can challenge yourselves on their WWII assault course. There are all manner of fun challenges plus a timer to keep track of how long you take.

In their local history gallery, you can see a Victorian shop, find out about the construction of Farnborough Abbey and more. There is a gallery with recreated barrack displays of the 1890s and 1950s plus a married quarters living room from the 1960s.

There is a barn with some of the museum’s larger exhibits including field guns and vehicles. Also on-site there is a collection of tanks.
