Apex Leisure and Wildlife Park

Apex Leisure and Wildlife Park

Apex Leisure and Wildlife Park is an urban park and wildlife centre located in Highbridge, Somerset. The site was once a former clay pit and a brick manufacturing site. It covers 42 acres and is great for relaxing and spotting wildlife.

What is there to do at Apex Leisure and Wildlife Park?

The former clay pits have been flooded and are now lakes which are home to many types of wildlife. There are usually plenty of ducks so make sure you take them some food. You can also obtain a licence to fish and the waters are stocked with carp and bream.

You can enjoy a picturesque and gentle walk around the lake which has a level footpath. This walk will take you around 40 minutes. There is a traditional-style play area suitable for toddlers, and juniors. This includes swings, a slide, a roundabout, a seesaw and a tyre swing. Plus there is a trim trail with equipment near the lake.

Adjacent to the play area there is a Skate Park. This is floodlit and it is an open-access facility. There is also a BMX biking area which is leased by the Burnham Togers who meet three times a week and is for members.
