Archerfield Walled Garden

Archerfield Walled Garden is located in Dirleton, East Lothian. It dates back to the 18th century and was once used to grow produce for Archerfield House. The walled garden encompasses a perennial meadow, a wildlife area, a propagation tunnel and a rose garden plus perennial vegetables and cut flower beds. There is also an enclosed play area with a wooden climbing frame, a play house and a wooden train with seating.
Today you are able to look around their beautiful grounds including a Magical Fairy Trail in the woodland. There are willow structures, sculptures and a swing to be found along the trail as well as fairy houses. This is free of charge, there is no need to book.
There is an on-site garden centre, garden cafe and a well-stocked food market. You can also enjoy their extensive grounds with a pond, a beach walk, a willow walk and a network of paths and trails which you can explore on foot or by bike.
