Ardkinglas Woodland Garden

The Ardkinglas Woodland Garden is situated in Cairndow, Argyll and Bute. It is open all year round and offers a range of walks. It is a great family-friendly day out with a fairy trail and a Gruffalo to search for amongst the trees.
The gardens are situated on the shores of Loch Fyne and they enjoy a spectacular background of mountains and forest. There is an outstanding collection of plants and trees including the “Mightiest Conifer in Europe”. There is also a fabulous house on the estate which is open for tours on most Fridays, booking is essential.
The arboretum includes many champion trees and there is a renowned collection of Rhododendrons and Azaleas which are spectacular for most of May and June. The gardens have many unique features and a fun new slide has been installed in the woodland garden. The short Gruffalo trail has boards showing selected extracts from the Scots version of the famous book. There is also a fairy trail located in the lower part of the woodland.

There is no cafe but you are welcome to bring a picnic.
