Avon Boating Stratford Upon Avon
After William Shakespeare, the River Avon is the main focus of things to do in Stratford-Upon-Avon. The RSC (Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre) sits beside the river and there are a number of places to eat and drink. Plus you can rent a rowing boat, a punt, an electric boat, a canoe or a motorboat. There are also guided boat tours that cruise along this stretch of water.
Avon Boating review
Avon Boating offers a number of these boating options. The river cruise is very pleasant and a great chance to unwind after a busy day exploring. The cruise lasts for around 40 minutes and they have boats running every 20 minutes from March until late October.
Make sure you pick up a handheld electronic guide and a map. You press the appropriate button at the right time for an audio tour. It is very informative and will teach you lots along the way. If you don’t fancy a boat cruise with other people you can also hire out a private charter boat. The cruise boats have indoor and outdoor seating.
