Badger Watch Dorset

Badger Watch Dorset

Badger Watch in Dorset is located near Buckland Newton and is one of the very few places in the UK where you can watch badgers from their hides. From their hides, you will be able to see the sight of badgers emerging from their setts and foraging for food. The area is floodlit for perfect vision and visits from other wildlife such as owls, foxes, rabbits and bats add to the spectacle.

You are virtually guaranteed to see wild badgers in their own natural environment. For your visit, they recommend that you arrive by 6:15 pm for a 6:30 pm start, bring a torch (to light the short walk from the hides back to the car park) some walking boots or stout shoes and warm outdoor clothing. You can decide how long you want to stay up, possibly until midnight when the lights will go off.  Booking in advance is essential.
