Barshaw Park
Barshaw Park is located in Paisley in Renfrewshire, Scotland. The park is around 55 acres in size with recreational parkland and garden areas. The park first opened in 1912 after a wealthy local family sold some of their land to the local council. In the summer months, there is a miniature railway that runs through the park which has a small charge to ride.
Also in the park, there is the Paisley Model Yacht Club. They sail their boats on most Saturdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Kids will love to watch the boats out on the water. There is also a walled garden, a play park and a municipal golf course.
The park also hosts special event days such as funfairs and open gala days. There is also a fun BMX track are plus a safe miniature road system great for young and learner cyclists.
