Beccles Lido
Beccles Lido is an outdoor swimming pool located in Puddingmoor, Beccles, Suffolk. It is situated on the banks of the River Waveney and the pool was first constructed in 1959 on the site of an older bathing pool. Prior to that swimmers used a fenced-off part of the River Waveney.
The swimming pools are heated to around 28oC and there is a sunbathing area perfect for warmer days. There are three swimming pools in total which are open in the summer season. The main pool is 30 metres long and it has a 3.7-metre deep end with a springboard and a slide. They also run inflatable aqua run sessions.
There is a toddler pool which is 0.75 metres deep and an adjoining splash pool which is 0.27 metres deep perfect for children and babies. There is also a children’s adventure play area.
