Bexhill Museum
Museum Overview
Bexhill Museum is located in Bexhill-on-Sea, Sussex. It is an independent museum that was founded in 1914 and is run as a registered charity.
The museum is home to some unique collections from dinosaur footprints to exhibits about the history of the town. They even have some of Eddie Izzard’s model railways on display. There is his family’s model railway that was built by Eddie and other family members. Plus the centrepiece in their new Bexhill WWII gallery is the Bexhill 1940 Winter Wartime model railway.
There are four main galleries at the museum each with a different theme. There are quizzes in each for children where they are encouraged to look for and find certain items. There is the Dinosair and Natural History Gallery. The Costume and social history gallery and the Motor Racing and model railways gallery.
