Botanic Gardens at Samares Manor

The Botanic Gardens are tranquil landscaped gardens set around a medieval manor house in Jersey. They feature medicinal herbs and an arboretum. You can even stay overnight if you so desire. Around the grounds, there are a number of things to see including an agriculture and carriage museum a walled garden with bee hives and a Victorian Greenhouse. There is a children’s playground, a second walled garden, a Japanese garden, an orchard, a willow labyrinth and the arboretum.

These unique gardens offer exceptional planting conditions and they were originally created in the 1920s by a wealthy shipping line owner. They have undergone further development throughout the years. You can explore at your leisure or you can book one of their guided tours of the Manor House and museum .

There are lots to do for families. You can navigate the willow labyrinth, explore the jungle path and visit the children’s play area situated near the duck pond. You can say hello to their horses at the stables and see some of their other farm animals.
